Lyrics - Society (Eddie Vader)

This is one of my favorite songs, the  artist truly captures the emotions of someone who feels he is different from the rest.

Society (Eddie Vader)

It's a mystery to me
we have a greed
with which we have agreed

You think you have to want
more than you need
until you have it all you won't be free

society, you're a crazy breed
I hope you're not lonely without me

When you want more than you have
you think you need
and when you think more than you want
your thoughts begin to bleed

I think I need to find a bigger place
'cos when you have more than you think
you need more space

society, you're a crazy breed
I hope you're not lonely without me
society, crazy and deep
I hope you're not lonely without me

there's those thinking more or less less is more
but if less is more how you're keeping score?
Means for every point you make
your level drops
kinda like its starting from the top
you can't do that...

society, you're a crazy breed
I hope you're not lonely without me
society, crazy and deep
I hope you're not lonely without me

society, have mercy on me
I hope you're not angry if I disagree
society, crazy and deep
I hope you're not lonely without me....

Purpose.......

What is the purpose of life?
]This is likely to be the one of the first questions that one could associate with the birth of philosophy. From the eastern mystics, to the western orphics, tried they have to find an answer to this, yet none has succeeding in doing so.
How does one decide what the purpose of his or her life is?
We are born as dreamers and yet most of us fail to achieve our dreams.
Somewhere in between the dream and its possibility lies an ugly word called 'reality.'
Our purpose is thus molded by reality. We know what we are capable of, we know our boundaries, we know how high we can soar, and we know how low we can sink. Yet all these extremities of our self is controlled by reality.
Reality is a complex recipe composed of prejudice, ego, fear, disdain, disgust and through all of this a small beacon of hope tries to keep its flavor alive.
If we begin to move away from our perception of reality and try to take life by the reins and truly seek its purpose, we are alas lost to humanity as yet another being whose potential was wasted on seeking the truth rather than seeking recognition.
If we just once slow down from the grasp of our realities and try to look where we are headed we might just realize, that this is not the purpose our lives were meant to have, yet we continue to stay in the darkness, just trying to keep the beacon of hope alive.....

Faith?

The Oxford Dictionary defines faith as "complete trust or confidence in someone or something:"
Trust and confidence is something that does not develop overnight, and thus we are at all times skeptical.
A friendly smile by a stranger in a train can be interpreted by us in so many ways, our skepticism builds a shroud around us that prevents us from just assuming that the person across is just another normal human being, who just happens to be happy at that point of time.
We do not trust the motives of something as simple as a smile today, and we dream of conquering the world with love and hope.
Why is something which is as simple as faith, such a hard thing to muster.
If we look into our hearts we secretly know we lack faith in ourselves. When that is the case, how can we have faith in someone else.

I end for now quoting Wordsworth-

"If this belief from heaven be sent,
If such be Nature's holy plan,
Have I not reason to lament
What man has made of man?"
